Default Februrary 2, just two games.

It is a quiet night on the OOT with a pair of games that are not sexy.
The Jets-Flames is by far the best game on the schedule.

Live from New York, it's Monday night!

After one period, it was tied 1-1. Barkov scored and then Nash had a nice shorthanded breakaway goal. Hayes has scored on the power play to give the Rangers a 2-1 lead.

Staal scored to make it 3-1 Rangers but the Panthers have come back to it 3-3 with an even strength goal and then on the power play. This has turned to be a good game.

If Hall had any kind of hockey IQ he'd be a super star. Guy just shoots the puck head high from anywhere on the ice. No thoughtfulness at all. Tough to build around such a player.

The Oilers are probably going to play pretty well now until the end of the year. Like clockwork, they tend to do alright when the games no longer matter for them and they're essentially out... fans get excited, talk about next season, etc. etc...

Ya, I agree. I was reading on HF today that if people were to redo the 2010 draft, the top 10 picks, he would absolutely still be 1 or 2.

I think just because of his IQ I would take Tarasenko, Seguin or Johansen over him any day based on his low hockey IQ and inability to build a winning team around him.

Gets the point but is it worth the rest that comes along with it?

Whatever HF thinks, the opposite is usually true. They're the hockey version of George Costanza.

NHL GMs were asked to re-do the 2010 draft a while back and Hall came a very distant 3rd after Johansen and Seguin. Think Elliotte Friedman reported this, can't remember.

Maybe with us Flames fans cheering for them, the Oil can hold a lead for once?
