he did, he actually played a lot better than Smith. But hey, they are fourth in the McDavid standings with only 7 points back, so why not give it a shot?

Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
That third-round pick that Arizona gets for Dubnyk is for this year's June draft.

It's funny that trading Dubnyk actually hurts the Coyotes, yet the Oilers actually thought he was the problem last year.
Also, what is wrong with Mike Smith? He's been terrible this year.

Pretty much my thought.
Mike Smith - 3.52 GAA, 0.885 SV%
Devan Dubnyk - 2.72 GAA, 0.916 SV%

Still wondering how Harding still hasn't gotten a call up? Are they really that mad at him?

Harding had a setback in MS. He won't play this year.
It's obvious the tank is on in Arizona. Really surprised they didn't keep Dubnyk and buy out Smith this summer.

Why buy out smith when you can play him?

Wow, thats a good deal for Minny.
Arizona has too much money tied up in Smith.
Edmonton sure could use a goalie like Dubnyk. Its a shame they dont have one.

so, if the coyotes are selling, they are for sure in the McDavid sweepstakes. NHL plan to help that team?
Sounded like Dubnyk was playing well, why else trade him away? And get nothing that helps them now? Full rebuild in affect?

probably. Vermette is as good as gone and there have been trade rumours about Yandle for ages ... might as well trade both and start from scratch around OEL, their 2015 1st and the other young talent they have.

Smith has always been a product of the team he's played on.
