Washington goes up 2-1 late in the 2nd and amassed 20 SOG that period.

Matthew Carle has six minutes in penalties, hooking and a double minor for high sticking. The Flyers scored three goals on his penalties. It was 7-1 Flyers but Tampa has scored twice to make it 7-3 halfway through the third period.

Ovechkin has the go ahead goal for the Capitals who are playing hang on with the 2-1 lead and there are eight minutes left in regulation time.

The Kings score just 37 seconds into the game. Kopitar from Doughty and Carter. It is still 1-0 at the start of the second period.

The third pregame link I posted for the Leafs-Kings game, Things to know, is supposed to be for all games but the CBC decides to just have the stinkin' Leafs game. I hope Ontario viewers are enjoying a late night.

The Flyers trashed the Bolts 7-3. Nabokov gets pulled afer the 4th goal, but, Bishop didn't do much better. The Lightning just didn't have it. The Flyers score on a 2 man advantage that shouldn't have happened. Johnson gets called for high sticking on Umberger but looking at the replay it was clearly Lecavalier that high sticked his own teammate. The Capitals are on fire as they are 13-1-4 in their past 18 games as they beat the Avs 2-1 in reg time. Varlomov played well in the loss against his former as he kept his team in it facing 38 shots but so did Holtby in getting the win stopping 31 shots. Speaking goalies facing their former team, Bernier did that with the Leafs against the Kings. The Kings won 2-0 as Martin Jones gets the SHUTOUT stopping all 19 shots. The Kings get the winning goal in the 1st minute of the game and then scored on an empty net late in the game.
