Default January 7, just four games.

It is a national doubleheader night in Canada and the USA. Enjoy!

Prior to the Flames game, this is the first half of the doubleheader.
It is the first game for the stinkin' Leafs since Carlyle was fired.
The two assistant coaches will take over on an interim basis.

Marcus Johansson scored five minutes into the game, the Capitals lead 1-0 after one period.

Gord Stelick has been around the Leafs for forty years. He said he's never heard the crowd so quiet

6 short handed goals allowed this season already. Should be 4-1 soon.

It is 1-1 in the Bruins-Penguins game in the second period. Both goals were scored in the first period. Bennett's goal was from Malkin, a surprise pass from behind the net. Chara tied the game later on. Good game to watch as Centre Ice is free.

The Capitals are now winning 4-2! Johansson has two goals now and Brouwer has assisted on both of them.

I now wonder if the Leafs are entering tank mode. They look listless out there against the caps.

They fell in love with McDavid at the World Juniors. They're going to have to grease the wheels of the lottery machine because there's no way they can lose their 18 point lead over the Oilers.

The Bruins-Penguins is tied 2-2 in the third period. Bergeron scored to have the Bruins take the lead. Malkin tied it just 14 seconds into the third period.

The new coaching era in Toronto started with a 6-2 loss.

The Bruins win in overtime 3-2. Lucic from the point tipped in by Bergeron with his stick just below the crossbar.

The Ducks are flying all over the Rangers as Lundqvist keeps the game tied 0-0.

After a scoreless first period, the Rangers Brassard scored in the middle period to make it 1-0. Nash has scored to make 2-0 early in the third period.

The Leafs are in self destruction mode now and it's going to be a gong show. The temporary coaches will want to be running out of town when the season ends. The Capitals blew them out of the building 6-2 and OV had a goal. The Bruins looked good in beating the Penguins 3-2 in OT as Rask faced 39 shots in the win. Those teams always play it close because it was another one goal difference for the 8th straight game. The Rangers took control in the 3rd period by scoring 3 goals and beat the Ducks 4-1.
