Default Look to buy a new bed. Where to go?

Seems like there's a million different options. Anybody know the best place to buy a bed? Looking to spend about $1200

Costco has decent prices on nice mattresses.

Whatever you do though, save yourself the headaches and avoid the Brick at all costs.

I haven't tried them myself, but have a friend who just got a Casper mattress and really likes it. He bought the bed frame at IKEA.

My only tip is that don't get too caught up on what the "specials" are for boxing week, your better off finding a mattress you like, and just about any retailer will put it on Sale for you.

If its any help, I own a furniture/mattress shop, you can DM me for any questions on mattresses and etc. I don't deem myself to be all knowing, but I do know a fair bit being in the industry and whatnot.

Goodluck and hopefully you find one that suites you.

Ah crap hahaha mixed up my lingo from different platforms, oh well,

by the way, I went through the other thread, anyone looking at a Tempur-Pedic, I now carry them and if anyone is interested in one and is a member of CP let me know I can work out some pricing, I carry 3 models, and I have pretty much the exact ones Sleep Country has, with the exception of one model (its an exclusive given to only sleep country, forgot what its called, but they do have one no one can have)

Anyone can PM me for more info!

I've been curious about these guys. They offer free shipping to Canada, and a 100 day trial. Reviews seem to be decent, but they are always from people giving their referral info. If I read it right at the time, I think they arrange pick up the mattress if you don't like it, then they donate it.

There's actually a local mattress maker - Black Sheep Mattress. I don't have one, but a colleague of mine has one, says it's outstanding.

Decent in-store, pre-purchase, service.
That all disappears once you leave the store.
Post purchase customer service is garbage.
Their "blanket" warranties are complete crap and not worth the paper written on.
Deliveries are very often delayed...sometimes weeks late.
Many case of damaged goods being delivered or delivery personnel damaging buyers property.
Communication with the company is horrendous. They suggest going through their FB app first.
Then you wait a minimum of 4 business days to get a response.

I've had my own issues with them. I absolutely despise the company.

Lots of RTs showing other peoples frustrations here: www.Twitter.com/TheBrickSucks

Serta Trump is an amazing mattress.
Just hope you never have to deal with any warranty issues.

I bought a sofa from the brick and after I swiped my credit card the salesman informed me, "It won't be in for 6 weeks."

It took them 10 weeks to get the couch in stock and the wouldn't cut a deal on delivery or knock any $$ of the sofa.

Mattress Mattress was the first place I went to look for a bed - great sales staff, they were attentive but not pushy, let me browse on my own, offered suggestions based on how I laid on the beds and recommended several different types of beds (pocket coils vs bonnell, memory foam etc.)

Very competitive prices too, and when the sales guy noticed I only had a small car, offered to throw in free delivery.

I didn't purchase right away because I wanted to shop around. So I hit up all the competitors where I got stuffy guys in suits trying to upsell the higher end beds and blowing off my basic questions.

Immediately returned to Mattress Mattress to make the purchase.
