Default Flyers Recent Tear Down

It's probably not the players and my stupid player personnel decisions and lineup strategies but I'm gonna blame it on the players and coach.

Flyers Fire Peter DeBoer

An email to the league has been sent about relieving DeBoer of his duties. In the 2.5 years he was with us, he didn't get the job done.

"I thank the Flyers for giving my sorry ass an opportunity to coach the great players the great GM brought in here unfortunately the league took away coaches salaries so I had no motivation to coach the players." Said DeBoer.

We have 3 candidates who we are interviewing before we name his replacement.

Boychuk shipped to Toronto

To Toronto: Johnny Boychuk, 2016 Ana 3rd
To Philadelphia: Anthony DuClair, Ian McCoshen, 2016 Tor 1st

As soon as Boychuk was added to the trade block the Leafs GM contacted me and after few back and forth discussions a deal was reached. DuClair has obviously shown he can play in the NHL but will improve his game in the Juniors. McCoshen is a quiet defender but developing in one of the better college systems. 1st was a must add and we had that included.

"Obviously my play was nowhere near as good as it should have been so I totally agree with the Flyers shipping my sorry arse out of town so they can fix their team." Said Boychuk.

Parise shipped to Nashville

To Nashville: Zach Parise
To Philadelphia: Nikita Kucherov

Parise was going to be a UFA. I would've re-signed him but that would go against my new policy of high-priced wingers. Kucherov is having a decent year in the NHL, hopefully sees a healthy increase in his ratings and can be more productive then Parise.

"Obviously my play was nowhere near as good as it should have been so I totally agree with the Flyers shipping my sorry arse out of town so they can fix their team." Said Parise.

Stralman and Sobotoka shipped to New Jersey

To New Jersey: Anton Starlman, Vlad Sobotoka
To Philadelphia: Oscar Klefbom, Valentin Zykov, 2016 NJ 1st, 2015 Min 2nd

Sobotka decided to head to the KHL. Useless arse! He will likely come back next year as he has a clause but his rating will take a hit so I don't need him. Starlman is having a career year but was due for a healthy raise next year, not going to get one in Philly. Klefbom is one of few guys in Edmonton, who has been developed with some sense so I think he ends up a top 3 dman. Picks are good. Zykov was the return for Sobotka.

"Obviously my play was nowhere near as good as it should have been so I totally agree with the Flyers shipping my sorry arse out of town so they can fix their team." Said Starlman and Sobotka together.

Jagr Shipped to Columbus

To Columbus: Jaromir Jagr
To Philadelphia: Zach Fucale, Ryan Hartman

In a surprise move Columbus decided to offer something decent for a change so after couple of messages the deal was done. Both Fucale and Hartman are high potential player, looking forward to their development.

"Obviously my play was nowhere near as good as it should have been so I totally agree with the Flyers shipping my sorry arse out of town so they can fix their team." Said Jagr.

Ryan Shipped to Brooklyn

To Brooklyn: Bobby Ryan, 2015 Cal 2nd
To Philadelphia: JT Miller, Ville Pokka, 2015 Dal 1st

Just like Parise I had no desire to pay Ryan the big dollars. Brooklyn came calling and eventually a deal was reached. JT Miller seems like he's sorting out his NHL career. Pokka is going to be a player, very high on him. Late 1st but there will be a prospect who'll fall I can grab with that pick.

"Obviously my play was nowhere near as good as it should have been so I totally agree with the Flyers shipping my sorry arse out of town so they can fix their team." Said Ryan.

Sekera Shipped to Nashville

To Nashville: Andrej Sekera
To Philadelphia: David Savard, 2016 Nash 1st, 2016 Nash 2nd

I wouldn't be surprised is there's only a small gap between Savard and Sekera's rating next off-season. Nashville paid for this year's big rating increase and next years's difference.

"Obviously my play was nowhere near as good as it should have been so I totally agree with the Flyers shipping my sorry arse out of town so they can fix their team." Said Sekera.

Burakovsky Shipped to New Jersey

To New Jersey: Andrey Burakovsky, Anton Slepyshev
To Philadelphia: Charlie Coyle

Coyle is developing and rated while being a cheap contract next year. He is what Bura hopes to be in coming years.

"Super-excited to re-join the Flyers." Said Coyle

My cheese is maxed out and therefore Eric Staal remains a Flyer and will be part of the core moving forward.

I am looking for some depth players and a winger who is still on an ELC for next year. Willing to pay up big if the player is good.

Thanks to GMs who made the deals.

It's pretty exciting to see what the future will be in Philadelphia, your ability to reshape a lineup in a retool/reload type of way has my respect.

Should be a really interesting and fun off season for Flyers fans

Nice to see a flurry of deals!

I expect this to happen at least once more this season in Philly. Odds of Staal staying a Flyer are about the same as MJK not calling someone out for the rest of the season. So I expect to see him move soon.

With the roster ripped down I also expect the Flyers to start winning now.

The buying begins...

Voracek Ready for Philly

To St.Louis: Ryan Murray, Brock Nelson, Robby Fabbri
To Philadelphia: Jakub Voracek

All 3 of these assets I gave up were favorites of mine. But you have to give to get. I get one of the best wingers in the game.

"I'm being brought in right the ship and I will single-handedly do that. All by myself, I've already told our new coach Mike Johnston that I want to be the captain, all the offence MUST run through me so I'm really excited." Said Voracek

Johnston Named as the 3rd Head Coach in CPHL Flyers History

Mike Johnston takes over after Petr DeBoer was fired was being useless. Johnston signs a 5 years deal and is expected to be behind the bench when the Flyers take on the lousy Capitals on day 93.

"I'm glad to take over and really surprised at the horrendous job DeBoer did here. This is one of the best rosters in the entire universe let alone the CPHL. Watch me work my magic, lets go Jakub!" Said Johnston!

More buying? stay tuned!

Best deal was the Zykov deal imo. I like how you added some 2016 1sts, stocking up while the value is lower.
