Wonder if Burke still wants to be a GM in the league.
Burke has told people though that he wants Calgary to be his last stop and wants to be a lifer there so there's that.

Doesn't really make sense. What could he possibly want? A president job? I don't believe he will be leaving, if he wanted to be Gm somewhere he could be ours if he wanted to.

Makes no sense to me. He stated he wanted Calgary to be his last stop, seems really excited about the position.

It's possible he may just retire too, making Cgy by default his last stop.
Sucks, I like having Burke a part of the Flames. Hope he stays for 2-3 more years.

Burke shot the rumor down. Guessing he's getting an extension in the offseason. If he does move on, it's been a pleasure. He's done what he promised (so far) and has this team headed in the right direction.

Funny that the rumor has never been mentioned until Cox just said it. Not sure why Burke would want to move on at all. He just started building this team bizarre he would even consider leaving

Also a big reason why treliving took the job in calgary is because of Burke. Can't imagine him walking and leaving treliving after one year.

Pretty sure if Burke had something like that to say, he would come out and say it.
He's not exactly the shy, quiet type.

I don't know I seem to recall him denying the Toronto GM rumors while he was in Anaheim.

Id like to see one more year from Burke. It would take some pressure of Treeman and continue to lend credibility to the team.
Although I did expect Burke to leave in sooner rather than later.

Burke or no Burke, if he was offered to GM an NHL team, he wasn't turning it down.
