These threads suck. Seems like there is an "I like" for almost every player.... This is a bottom 3 team in the NHL and people like this team lol?

We all know this isn't a playoff team but there's nothing wrong in enjoying wins and not wallowing in misery every day. It's always nice to see players break out and have a good stretch of games.

I would love to see Byron maintain his current level of play, but like a lot of smaller players the grind of the NHL is only for the toughest and biggest men. We have yet to fill out the lineup with enough "beef" to protect him. He's plucky, but he still screams "tweener" to me. Of course I would love to be wrong about him.
Here's hoping he continues to contribute for as long as he's able or with the team.

Well said. How dare anyone enjoy what is a pass-time / recreational thing.
Time is much better spent intently following something that brings one no joy whatsoever so they can quickly criticize every aspect of it and remind those around them to take no joy from it.

Wow. I ddnt say not to find positives but do we need a thread about everything? Soon we should have threads about refs, linesmen, or the zamboni guy too.

agreed. Furthermore, this is a rebuilding period for the franchise. I would expect most CPers (almost all of whom have been calling for management to go this route) to be fine during the period of the team sucking, so not sure what there's to be negative about other than trading high picks out for questionable return.

Personally, I hope Byron continues playing well so his value jumps up and we can make a good trade. I don't seem him having much of a place long-term, but I'm cool with it either way.

Some numbers on Byron:
in 7 games, on the ice for 5 goals for and 1 goal against, +4
despite the fact that 17% of his ice-time has been on the PK and most of the rest has been on the 4th line
helped orchestrate back to back OT winners
