Default Bluetooth/wireless speakers

I'm looking to get a bluetooth or wireless speaker and was wondering if anyone had any input on models they have tried out. I've had a bit of experience with the Beats Pill as my friend had it with her on a vacation. It seemed to work pretty well as far as sound quality and durability. I have also heard good things about Bose also. I'm primarily looking for excellent sound quality, decent battery life and easy connectivity with my iphone and Macbook. I've done some reading up online but I also wanted to get the views of anyone here who has actually used the above mentioned brands or any other brands as well.
Thanks

Logitech Ultimate Ears Boom are some of the best reviewed bluetooth speakers.

The Bose Soundlink is pricey but amazing. Great sound quality and you can really crank it.

808 Audio.

CANZ: http://www.808audio.com/speakers/canz/
These thing POUND for such a small speaker.

or

HEX XL: http://www.808audio.com/speakers/hex-xl/
Beautiful sound, down-firing sub.

I own both of these speakers. I would highly recommend both.

Edit: if you're looking for the CANZ, Phone Experts (Telus) has them in Westbrook Mall. They go for $40. (won best Bluetooth speaker under $50 at CES this year!)

I've really enjoy the Nixon mini blasters. You can also grab two of them and have them paired to one device. If you're interested I can snag you a couple at a good CP discount.

Just picked up the Mini Boom for a Christmas gift (half price at the source this weekend). Great little speaker. Big fan of the UE line. I have the UE boombox as well.

I'd give a vote to the Jawbone Jambox. I have the large one and I love it. Great bluetooth connectivity and excellent sound. Get some good volume out of it too. Works well for calls too. Great battery life.

The JBL bluetooth speakers are awesome too. I've got a couple of the smaller ones for trips and the like and they work great. Surprisingly loud too for the size. No call connectivity. Very good battery life too.

How big of a room would you recommend these for?

I sometimes need sound for a boardroom about 20-30 people full. Would these fill the room with sound loud and clear enough?

I got the BEM cube speaker at Costco last year. Best bt speaker I've ever owned. Have since picked up 2 more. Only $50

(This is from the .com site but they are definitely at our stores for $50

Also, BEM makes a variety of different sized speakers. Really good sound

Sony SRSXB5. Have had this for about 6 months and its fantastic for a medium room with decent bass and midrange. I did a fair bit research at the time and it was well reviewed within its category. Better than the Soundlink Mini, sound comparable to the Soundlink, but more compact/portable, and much cheaper. Sounds better also in reviews than the much larger XB7.

As a bonus, it can also charge devices as long as its charged up itself. That helped when my phone had no juice on a car trip and I had forgotten my car charger.

Well built, solid, simple but classy design.

On sale it seems this weekend too.

I wouldn't see it being a problem, especially with two paired. I can be 50 feet away from one and the music still sounds clear as day.

I picked up the JBL Flip 2 at Bestbuy yesterday. Nifty little speaker, really fills a room nicely.

I just picked up one for my kid last weekend. It was about $45. They also had a "boombox" version for about 70-80.

Glad to hear it is good.

Thanks Snarpy

+1 to this. I got the soundlink mini for Christmas last year and I love it! it has a rear firing sub so if you put it in the corner of a room the bass the comes out is amazing for a hand held unit.

Grabbed one of these at Costco in Montreal the other day. Great sound for a little box, and at $40 plus tax is incredible value.

Edit: Maybe was $50
