Is he just having fun with a tweet like this or is he being a bit of a ###### going off like this, when there was no reason to speak up?

Quote:
"All I have to do is tweet something about the Oilers and I get 100-plus new followers overnight," Feaster chuckled to ESPN.com on Thursday morning.

"I was just having some fun," he added. "It's my personal Twitter account and I was just having fun. I was there four years in Calgary but it did not take me four days to get tuned into the Battle of Alberta. Obviously, people get very wound up and upset about things. But it wasn't done in a hurtful or spiteful way. I'm just having some fun with it."

LeBurn also said on TSN that his personal feeling when talking to Feaster about the tweet was that some of the heaviest criticism against Feaster for the Iginla to Boston trade and O'Reilly fiasco came from people pointing to how he was doing it wrong and Edmonton was doing it right and this tweet was a little bit rubbing it in those people's faces.

I for one am happy that Feaster is a Flames fan now. The guy got/gets roasted far more than he should. Not that there should be a choir to sing his praises. But the good things he's done have a real effect on this team. The mistakes are nothing but whispers in the past. Non-existent apparitions that people refuse to let go even though they had zero impact on the Flames itself. They only effected him.

I'd love to have a few beers with Feaster. Seems like a good guy who would have some awesome stories.

Saw this and I would be down to listen to him talk.... great guy he got the team in the right direction I was on board. He himself even knows that this team is in better shape than the Oilers

Feaster is awesome. And judging by the current situation of the team, may have done this club wonders without anyone reputable giving him any recognition for it.

That he has become a passionate follower of the team after the fact that he and his AGM were let go by Burke speaks volumes to his class and character. I remember when I met him at his last summer development camp as GM and he seemed to really be enjoying himself being around the fans and was passionate about the team. Not surprised he's still keeping tabs.

Might be a little smug but it's the oilers he was bashing so I don't care.

Feaster went up a notch in my books after that tweet. He took a lot flack in Calgary, and now the team that he helped build the majority of is playing well, so he deserves some credit. Obviously Edmonton losing 11 in a row is a joke in its self.

He wasn't a great GM but this time he's right on. The 88s kissing that went on about the Oilers was sickening.

Well, this is the 'net generation. Didn't one of our CP membership who was working in YVR see Feaster and break his job interview with Van?

90% chance the oilers will fire someone, it could be the GM and although I wouldn't, they could consider Feaster.

How does he think that his tweets will get him back to being a GM? People think he's a fool now - if they didn't already...

He strikes me as a guy who feels a little hard done by and doesnt get the respect he feels he deserves. But regardless I dont hate the guy, and his twit is bang on.

One poster thought he saw Feaster in the Airport, but IIRC was mistaken. Not that it matters.

Why do you speculate that he believes his tweets will get him back to being a GM?

I'm not sure why he isn't working for TSN or Sportsnet yet. This guy is a big personality, like Burke. He would make a great hockey analyst.

Rightly or wrongly he doesn't have credibility
