We couldn't beat Mason in this one and the usual potent PP was shut down in 4 chances.

Mason is so weird, he either plays lights out or completely craps the bed ... there's nothing in between. Luckily he showed up for this one and the line juggling up front helped as well. Important win against a strong team.

14-5-1 now through 20 games. Not bad at all. I think I'm quickly encroaching on the total number of wins I had last year.

A lock for the Cliff Fletcher so far. Well done.

I expected a little better today. In the good showing/poor showing cycle, today was supposed to be a good day. We took the Oilers to OT, but couldn't get it done. This week the Preds GM should be around for the most part and will be reaching out to make some deals and trying to improve things.

At least the Wild made Rinne work for the win!

Goalie Stats

Jake Allen (MIN), 29 saves from 33 shots - (0.879), L, 1-2-0, 60:00 minutes
Pekka Rinne (LAK), 13 saves from 15 shots - (0.867), W, 7-8-5, 60:00 minutes

Sabres eke out a win in a shootout, Higgins finally scores his first and Maholtra nets his 2nd as the offensive comes from surprise players in this one. Lupul goes down to injury where he'll join Green and Gleason in sick bay
