Slightly less then 6 months to the Bonnaroo 2014 lineup release! Hell yes!

Nice thread Troutman, music festivals are probably my favourite way to spend a vacation. I've been to Bonnaroo (x3), Sasquatch, Osheaga, Wanee and Langerado (defunct). Next on my list are Hangout and Wakarusa.

I feel like Coachella wouldn't be for me but I'd love to hear about any other festivals that CPers would recommend. I'm into all types of music but not big on country (although I do love me some Corb Lund).

I'm glad we are letting the Sasquatch/Cochello thread die.

I've been to Coachllea (x3), Sasquatch (x3), Osheaga (x2), Bonnaroo and Voodoo.

I'll be doing Voodoo again this October, Coachella again next year and then hopefully getting to another one of the big ones. Probably Lolla.

Coachella best.

I've been to Sasquatch, Squamish and if you wanna be technical the Montreal International Jazz Festival for North America and I saw Download Festival in the UK this past summer. I can't recommend Download enough, it was a total gong show in the best way possible, if all European festivals are like that everyone needs to go to one. I've also seen Rock the Bells and Monsters of Rock as one day festivals.

Hitting that next weekend. Last year was pretty great, hoping this year will be the same.

The line-up didn't look appealing to me at all.

Well the music blew. Outside of Calvin Harris who has killed it every time I've seen him (that was my 3rd time) it was pretty much all boring dubstep. Bloody Beetroots cancelled as well so there was only one real headliner that night for the price of two.

Also it was horribly organized. One entrance, tickets were all after this entrance, security was a total mess (I didn't even get patted down for example), not enough bars as usual... just a gong show.

Just came back from Summer's End. Too much Dub for me on the first night. But second featured my all time fav Infected Mushroom (actually drank with them in 05) and Destroid killed as the headliner.

Partied with current friends. Ran into a few old ones. Made a few new ones.

And even took a gorgeous tripper home. Great show!

Yeah the first night was ####e. Line was dumb. Bad vibe all night. Too much of the same music. But second made up though. Had a blast, even as an old coot in respectable clothing.

These are the same promoters from Badlands right? I heard that was horribly organised too.

Glad I skipped out on SummersEnd, and saved my money.

I'm going to Pure/Scream in Edmonton, so we'll see if the hype from Boodang events is warranted.

I didn't go, but I heard Badlands was a hoot. Muddy and rainy and you made your own fun.

Music fesitvals NEVER go that way.

Actually I've been to three Motion Notions and one Shambhala and we had torrential rains on three of em.

I was at Earthcore in 03 (first time I saw Infected actually) on the edge of the Australian outback. At dust and spiders and scorpions and 39 degrees we wanted a little rain.

I know that's not the same as bad organization, just having a little fun. Summers End day one was poor, bur day two was really really good.
