Flames Flames recall Granlund. Stajan out 6 weeks. Colborne day to day

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Sounds like it is indeed a wrist injury for Colborne, should hear severity later today. Stajan a knee injury, hearing 4-6 weeks. #Flames

Pat Steinberg @Fan960Steinberg
Matt Stajan to the IR, out approximately 6 weeks. Joe Colborne day-to-day with that wrist injury. #Flames

Calgary Flames @NHLFlames
The #Flames have recalled Markus Granlund (@GranlundMa) from the @AHLFlames ~ cflam.es/1wdFOLT

If it's 4-6 weeks it's probably not ACL, which is good.

4-6 weeks was what I was thinking was the best case scenario after seeing it last night, so I guess that's a good thing.

Granlund should be getting his bags packed and getting ready to fly out here after Adirondack's game tonight. The only question is if someone will be joining him, and who it will be.

So is it mainly teams that start with C that are going to get all the injuries this year?

Gaudreau - Monahan - Hudler
Glencross - Backlund - Byron
Ferland - Granlund - Jones
Bolig - Bouma - Jooris

That's what I want to see.

I hope it's not the same wrist Colborne injured before.

Only 4 to 6 weeks is fantastic news for Stajan.

100% it's Granlund and Ferland.

So pumped to see Ferland's first NHL action.

I know everyone loves the Gaudreau and Backlund combo, but I'm not sure I see the chemistry everyone else is seeing. I think Glencross suits Backlund's style of play better and maybe Gaudreau can get both Hudler and Monahan going offensively.

No additional call ups unless they place Colborne on IR, which hasn't happened yet.

Life's gonna get rough for the Flames. Their best big-man (Colborne), face-off man (Stajan) and speedster (Raymond) all out.

Nice! Granlund was very good last year in the NHL. Hopefully he performs and gets a permanent spot!

Glencross has never played well with Backlund. Anything but that.
