I know its a tragedy but tragedies happen every day... and games don't get cancelled
Not sure if I agree with the cancellation of the game. I could see if the arena was in downtown Ottawa, it would be a transportation nightmare... but the arena is way out in the suburbs.

I'm sure the postponement is a cautious move just in case the murder at the War Memorial is part of something bigger.

Yes.. Do they cancel a game when a cop gets shot in the city? Is a cop's life any less valuable than a soldiers?

You realize the Leafs, who are playing in this game, were staying downtown right?

No I didn't. If thats the case then its a logistics problem and I can understand the reason for the cancellation.

Huh? You do realize that an act of terrorism was committed in Ottawa today, don't you?

I'm sure it's not a "logistics" problem ... It's a national tragedy problem.

Not to mention likely numerous players from the Senators who would live downtown, or the fans who live downtown or are still stuck in a locked down building. Some people....

The threat in the city hasn't been confirmed as over, some areas are still on lockdown.... And not to mention a guy has just shot a soldier and drove to the parliament to shoot it up

Do you know that for sure? Or was it just some crazy person who decided to kill someone?

You're an idiot - your complete lack of respect for what has happened is ridiculous, alarming and pathetic... You should thank the dead soldier for protecting your right to be an ass.

It makes sense to cancel the game. The city is still in lockdown, there is at least one accomplice on the run and there is a small risk that something further could occur.

CBS has reported the name of the gunman and that he was another convert to Islam who has been radicalized.

The downtown core is still in lockdown, with the game scheduled in half an hour. Transport has been chaos all day. In the grand scheme of things, this game is not important.
Seriously Rerun, what are you thinking?
