Could it be time to move Stajan from the 4th line?

accurate assessment and some good points, thanks
I agree with your thoughts on Gaudreau - he hasn't been noticeable with his usual offensive flair, but it would be wrong to say he has been bad or overwhelmed.

He's adjusting. And I am not going to blame team-mates but the fact of the matter is that they don't have a lot of puck possession as a group.

Gaudreau hasn't had many chances. His teammates aren't making much space for him out there but he still makes good decisions with the puck with very small windows of opportunity.

Honestly, I am questioning Hartley's line combos now but this has always been an issue. Maybe he doesn't want the 2 main youngsters (Mony & Johnny) on the same line for their collective lack of experience, but I honestly believe they would be dynamite out there together.

Setoguchi looked terrible. He was at least 50% responsible for the 1st goal against. Not sure how long he sticks around unless there is a dramatic improvement. I'm eager to see what impact Jooris would make in the bottom 6...

I agree. I'm not worried if the young guys make mistakes, I just want them to get a chance to learn and develop. Mistakes are not going to cost us a spot in the playoffs.

Gaudreau and Monahan got at least a couple of shifts together in the St. Louis game.

It's a shame that the NHL stopped producing shift charts for the games, but I would warrant that it would reflect a bit of a cycle through players as Hartley both attempts to adjust to the challenges of having a sick roster, and of determining the make up of line combos moving forward.

You can find line combos here... http://leftwinglock.com/line-combina...algary-flames/

It doesn't look like Johnny and Monahan had any shifts together last game.

Thanks. I clearly remember seeing them on the ice together on two occasions late in the third on Sat night.

Cannot agree. While Setoguchi has not impressed, i'm not sure what he could have done against Engellend's inexplicable moves on that first goal against. It looked like he forgot what color he was wearing taking both himself and Seto out of the play.
Engellend had a terrible game and was the goat IMO.
That said, here is hoping that temporary measures such as that rumored flu are in part to blame for performance slights.

I think Gaudreau will take a bit to get going. Hartley will continue to stick him with less talented vets to get his confidenceup and give hin sone more confidence in the speed of the regular season. I'd look for JG to start hitting the score sheet after a dozen games or so
