Is there any way where posts in the game thread can not count towards total post count?

"Us guys" didn't write the the software, it tracks post counts. The software tracks a lot of things that don't matter.

If you don't know why it matters then don't worry about it. Since you do know, then you can either choose not to post in the game threads, or to not worry about post count.

I don't think post count matters at all. As Photon mentioned - we didn't design the software. I don't look at post count as being any sort of indication of the quality of poster or anything.
