Kept it close despite my 5th string goalie playing for some reason.

Closer inspection and it doesn't look like my lines were used. Maybe I messed something up.

Bryzgalov was sharp in this one. I'm hoping I can lean on him to play a few games this season. Much lower scoring output than the first game but good to come away on the right end of things even in preseason.

Side note...didn't Selanne retire? What was all that news recently if it wasn't Bodreau he'd still be playing?

There was talk that he may play in Europe. But wikipedia calls him a former player so that's probably it

My understanding was that he retired from the NHL but was still panning on playing back home... either or it will be obvious once season starts and he's not playing

I do remember reading an article about him playing hockey outside of the NHL.... somewhat shot it down but didn't say it was out of the question. He has a desire to retire as a NHL player...

but who know, I would personally guess 90/10 he's retired but until we know for sure because he did leave that door open

This also happened to us. Our lines are correct but Ryan Miller no where to be seen. Heleneus and Markstrom started.

I suspect there were some line-up issues due to the crash I had yesterday. Having to re-start the pre-season and then sim two Pre-season days in a row may have created some issues. Let's see what happens on Day 3 and if there is still an issue we can investigate further.

Gibson with a solid performance in his first ever CPHL game. The future is bright with that one. Special teams operating at 100% again.

Sabres win their 3rd straight (2nd official) however there are 2 by shootout so not alot of breathing room. Josh Bailey and Tuuka Rask led the way in this one
