Hey guys,

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, I looked in the buy/sell forum but it seems like that's a place to buy things unrelated to hockey.

Anyways, so I'm in Winnipeg for school for a short 4 weeks and awesomely, the Flames come and play on the 4th of Oct. It's a preseason game but whatever, I want to see our boys kick some ass.

However, I really don't know where to begin to buy tickets. Well, ok, that's not true, I can simply go on ticketmaster and get tickets there but they're pretty pricey for a student. So as a result, I was wondering if someone local or has local expertise can tell me if there are cheaper ways to get tickets? Do they have a sportchek zone or anything like that here for Jets games?

I'd trust Stubhub well before Kijiji.

Stub hub for sure. I got 8 tickets to the flames canucks game on Thursday for 55 bucks.

The Mts centre also has about 5000 or so seats less then the dome. That defiantly drives the price up. I just looked on stubhub and there still pretty pricey for a pre season game they start at 56 for row 12 of the 300s compared to the flames and canucks game where row 9 press level for is just under 6 dollars.

Thanks for the answers guys, I'll check out stubhub. I tried that teamexchange thing, doesn't seem to work or at least doesn't work well? Maybe it's chrome, I'll try IE.

Edit: IE indeed works for the ticketexchange one.

They're still pretty pricey though, I might try to see if the prices won't drop a bit more closer towards the game... or they may get pricier as tickets get snapped up, we'll see.

I find StubHub to be overpriced. I always have good luck on eBay.

At the U of C, I used to run into posters showing $15-35 a game or so and has tickets up to 2 months in advance or something. Any change a random ad on campus may have something available?

jets.nhl.com seatexchange (in seats pull down tab) season ticket holders put up seats all through ticket master only guaranteed re-sale without getting screwed

Jets seat exchange or stub hub. Personally I sell mine on stub hub as seat exchange marks them up.

It does, but I had surprisingly good luck with seat exchange at MSG last season. That said, still cost me more than my Stubhub ticket for the Isles and Devils combined. Might have had something to do with the market though.

A good friend of mine is a STH in WPG. I'll check with him to see if he's using the tickets or if he'd want to unload them.

Just wanted to say that I did manage to find seats for the game! Still not as cheap as they would be in Calgary and probably a bit more than I originally would have liked to pay but super excited to be seeing Flames hockey live again. It's been a few years, who would've thought it'd be in Winnipeg that I'd get to go to a game!
