Pretty much agreed with everything...

But you misspelled Sylvan Lake!

On the topic of Sven:

I think he looks stronger, more physical, harder working, and more confident.

However, he hasn't shown his offensive flair to the same degree as he has in previous years. It will be interesting to continue to watch him through to the end of camp and beyond. It looks like he will be able to put it all together but it might take another part season in the AHL.

I'm chalking it up to him being more conscious of his 3-zone play, upping his physical game and defensive responsibilities. A well rounded Sven will have a longer career (with the Flames anyways) than flash and bang offensive Sven. I could see another part season (or perhaps entire season) in the AHL before he's ready to be an NHL regular... which is fine.

I like the theory guys, I really do.

His backcheck and rub out were a really good sign, for sure, but he just didn't do enough in a system that is suddenly deep with emerging talent to stick out.

On puck skills he trailed Gaudreau, Granlund, Ferland, and Reinhart last night.

Klimchuk looks over his head, and isn't in the conversation.

Going beyond a one game sample... we know Sven has the puck skills. I don't think you just lose those kinds of skills. I hope we see more of it as preseason rolls on.
