Default 2014 CFL Playoff Semifinal Game Thread

Eastern Semi-Final between Western crossover BC Lions vs Montreal Alouettes. Season series tied 1 win 1 lost. On Week #2 Montreal defeated BC Lions in Montreal 24-9 then on Week #4 BC won against Montreal at BC Place 41-5. Montreal QB Jonathan Crompton haven't played against BC Lions this season so far while BC QB Kevin Glenn went 23 for 31 with 301 yards passing and 2 TDs on their win on Week #4 but a lousy 13/25 for 159 yards and threw 2 INT on BC lost in Week #2. Game starts at 11am MDT.

Western Semi-Final between #3 Saskatchewan Roughriders at #2 Edmonton Eskimos. Edmonton won 2 games and lost 1 on season series between the two team. Only Saskatchewan win was the meaningless last game of the season. On both Edmonton wins QB Mike Reilly was the starting QB. Mike Reilly won't be starting the game tomorrow but according to Head Coach Chris Jones he will dress as a backup. Backup QB Pat White got hurt too before the end of the season and he is questionable. As for the Riders, Kerry Joseph will be the starting QB and rumour has it that Darian Durant didn't even make the 46-man roster for tomorrow's game.

The winner of the Eastern Semi-Final will play the Hamilton Tigercats with healthy Zach Collaros as their starting QB. Western Semi-Final will face the Calgary Stampeders at McMahon Stadium.

I am hoping to see two good games tomorrow.

Will be interesting to see if the officials decide to let the Riders get away with a lot of holding. holding has been a big key to their success over the years. The league cracked down on them hard this season but if they let them get away with a lot tomorrow that could help pave the way to victory as they will need help from the zebras to win this game as they have had in playoffs past.

With Durant not dressing, and the Esks playing games about their QB, I am officially cheering for the Riders tomorrow.

I really want to see Joseph play a strong game and win it.

What an idiot Ryan Phillips!! Elimimiam stopped Montreal and Montreal was walking back to the bench so the field goal team comes in. Idiot Phillips trash-talking Montreal and ended up hitting Bourke. Montreal offense back in the field after that dumb penalty. Guess what?? Montreal made him pay and scored a touchdown. Crompton to Duron Carter. Hahaha Carter just beat Phillips on that play. 15-3 with a minute left in the first half.

After the first half, Montreal is ahead 15-3. Crompton threw 2 TDs (SJ Green and Duron Carter). Both TDs were penalty-aided. Kevin Glenn on the other hand was 4/15 for 41 yards and 1 INT.

Wow, TSN panel are out to lunch here. Referees been calling penalties on whenever someone hit someone, it doesn't matter if they call it a love-tap. It was a stupid penalty on Phillips and he knows it. You don't hit an opponent especially when the referee is right in front of the action. As for the PI call before the first TD, it was clear that Parks hauled down SJ Green before the ball comes. Panel wants BC to win I think.

Kevin Glenn thinks he is still playing in Winnipeg or Hamilton. He threw another interception. Expect to see Travis Lulay or the other QB soon the way Glenn is playing.

BC defense forgot to show up. Crompton is making Phillips and the rest of DBs looks like a fool. Montreal scored another TD. It is now 29-3. Solomon Elimimiam seems like the only defense who showed up for BC defense today.

Travis Patridge is now the QB for BC. I guess John Beck got injured with concussion before the end of the season. Not sure if Benevides will even put Lulay in sometime today.

What the fck is that play?? Patridge threw the ball to Iannuzzi on their own end zone. Iannuzzi caught the ball but tried to punt the ball. He lost the football and hit his leg and Als recovered in 3 yards. Ruled a punt. Montreal scored TD on the next play. 36-3 Montreal and BC is just imploding.

Kyries Hebert is one dirty player. He bulldozed Patridge's head with his freaking helmet. This is the same freaking idiot who injured Jon Cornish with his dirty play early in the season.

It is now 4th quarter. What an embarrassment for BC Lions. Offense and Defense did not show up except when they make dumb penalties. I feel for Solomon Elimimiam who decides to show up but his teammates didn't.

I thought only Canuck fans blamed the refs?
