Default GAME 11 : Toronto at STAMPEDERS

This is the second last regular season games by Calgary Stampeders versus the Eastern Division team in 2014. Calgary won 6 games with no lost against the Eastern team this season and they are 4-1 at home. Toronto on the other hand are 1-5 on the road and 2-5 against the Western team. Last time the Stamps played the Argos was on Week 2 in Toronto. Calgary won that game 34-15.

OFFENSE :

For the second consecutive game, QB Bo Levi Mitchell spread the ball to 8 different receivers. BLM threw for 216 passing yards last week and that was the second lowest single game passing total this season. He was 14 for 24 though. On Week 2, BLM was 16 for 24 for 267 yards vs Toronto and threw for 4 TD passes. RB Jon Cornish is starting to heat up. For the second week in a row, he was awarded with Canadian Player of the Week rushing for 109 rushing yards. Cornish did not play against Toronto on Week 2.
SB Marquay McDaniel had another good game last week's BOA rematch. McDaniel caught his season's best 124 receiving yards.
OG Dan Federkeil and OL Brander Craighead will miss another game tomorrow but their replacement seems to be doing their job and the group doesn't seem to miss a beat. Calgary's OLine are the best in protecting the QB. Calgary only gave up 14 sacks compared to Toronto's 4th best with 26 sacks. Calgary are 1st best in the following categories : Points per game(29.2), Touchdowns(29), Total yards(367.6), and Giveaways(only gave up 11). First pick overall OL Pierre Lavertu is going to start in RG tomorrow.
WR Joe West will not be back on time and will miss the game tomorrow.

DEFENSE :

Calgary defense surrendered 34 points and 376 passing yards last week, their worst defensive outings this season so far.
DE Charleston Hughes will play his 100th game in the CFL. Hughes been quiet in the sack department lately but his partner-in-crime DE Shawn Lemon had been on fire. Lemon collected a couple of QB sacks and a forced fumble last week.
CB Buddy Jackson, who is going to miss the game against the Argonauts tomorrow, led the team with 7 tackles. HB Jamar Wall also played well with 5 tackles and 2 pass knockdown vs the Eskimos.
DLines Corey Mace and Freddie Bishop III will miss the game tomorrow.

SPECIAL TEAM :

ST coverage team have been playing well the last two games. They did not let the Eskimos returner to gained good yardage on every punt or kick return.

*****************************
According to Stamps depth chart, HB Buddy Jackson, DT Corey Mace and Freddie Bishop III, OG Dan Federkeil and WR Joe West are going to miss the game tomorrow.
CB Quincy Butler(suspension), WR Brad Sinopli(injury) and DE DeQuin Evans(injury) are going to be back in the lineup vs Argonauts.

GAME TIME : Saturday, September 13th 5pm at McMahon Stadium.
Televised on TSN and ESPN3.

GO STAMPS GO!!!!

I love how TSN's been pumping this as the Clash of the Division Leaders, and a potential Grey Cup preview. I know it's true, but it just sounds so ridiculous regarding a 3-7 team. Excited to see Mo Price get worked more into the action, after easing his way in the last couple weeks. He's due for 50+ yard TD.

And this is the second week in a row where the Stamps are playing at the exact same time as the Irish during a big rivalry game. Can this stop happening please? K thanks

I have a feeling this year may be the first time we see a Western team play a Western team for the Grey Cup. The crossover may even be the easier route to the Grey Cup this year.

The crossover is by far the easiest way to the Grey Cup this year. No question.

Best spot to be is 4th in the west.

park at an LRT station and ride down. Unless you have a parking spot at McMahon, I wouldn't recommend trying to park near the stadium

If you don't mind walking a few blocks, I park along along Briar Hill School or Branton school. Easy access to 14th or 19th which are usually pretty clear after games. I see people park closer, but I don't like to intrude.

Parking lot across from the Foothills hospital usually has spaces.

Hopefully the boys aren't looking past this game. If we show up ready to go then it should be another win.

I know. I am antsy whenever Stamps play the Argos. They can easily beat them but for some reason all their bad habits comes out whenever they play this team.

I am antsy as well. Can't let this fake "best in the East" team come in here and take a win off us.

I could have sworn Argos receivers were offside on at least 3 plays that drive

Bad start by defense. They gave up a TD on Toronto's first offensive series. That was rare.

Looks like Jock Sanders is scratch today. I wonder who replaced him in the lineup?

The stamps look like they will be spanked tonight. Mitchell misses so many easy passes.
