A lot of moves already... Summary
To Flyers: Ben Smith, Dal 2015 2nd
To Jets: Radim Vrbata
Quick deal. Vrbata was not in my plans moving forward, picked up a 2nd rounder next year and a bottom 6 forward and shed 7 mill.
To Flyers: Alex Killorn
To Leafs: Andy Greene
I was planning on signing Greene but decided against it and added another bottom 6 forward who has potential to move up.
To Flyers: Bos 2014 1st, Stl 2014 2nd, Mon 2015 2nd
To Jackets: Nick Foligno
With the recent additions of Killorn and Smith, Foligno and his 4 mill were no longer in my plans. Got 3 decent picks to add to the tally.
To Flyers: Cal 2014 1st, Pho 2014 1st, Was 2014 2nd, Win 2014 3rd
To Jets: Johnny Odiya, Ludwig Blomstrand, Kerby Rychel
Hooked up the Jets second time this off-season to dump more salary and add more picks. Had to include Rychel in there but with 4 picks coming back it was worth it.
To Flyers: Bos 2014 2nd, Buf 2014 3rd
To Blues: Dillon Heatherington
Needed couple of picks to fulfill my outstanding conditions and was able to strike a quick deal with Mr. Parkin to get the picks for Dillon.
To Flyers: Min 2014 1st, Pit 2014 1st, Nas 2014 2nd
To Wild: Chi 2014 1st
The numbers on the picks were 12 for 21, 23, 40. Picked up more picks, in this draft it was worth it.
To Flyers: Devin Setoguchi
To Flames: Jhonas Enroth
Flames needed a goalie and with Khudobin getting close to ready it was time to trade Enroth and add elsewhere.
To Flyers: Nathan Horton, Kevin Hayes, Stl 2016 1st
To Blues: Henrik Zetterberg
Had to clear more money and was able to add Horton and Hayes, who might just sign with the Flames? Also adding future 1sts when they're cheap is a good thing.
To Flyers: Brock Nelson, Flo 2014 4th
To Oilers: Mark Fayne, Pit 2014 1st
I traded Nelson back a while ago, wanted to bring him back. Oilers were looking for D and Fayne is controllable so worked out for both sides.
To Flyers: Andrej Sekera, Vlad Tarasenko
To Wild: Ryan McDonagh
This deal changed Flyers off-season plan. As you can tell by the original post, McDonagh was not available but I almost dealt him for Landeskog. Then came the Wild offering Tarasenko, who I really like added Sekera in there to get me a replacement and it was done.
To Flyers: Adam Henrqiue, Cody Ceci
To Lightning: Nathan Horton, Devin Setoguchi, Juhjar Khaira, Tommy Vannelli
Ceci has already shown well in the NHL and Henrique is a under-rated player. I saved some money as well. Lightning get prospects and CPHL players.
To Flyers: Carl Gurrarson
To Jets: Jared Cowen, Nic Kerdiles
Cowen simply didn't take the steps I was hoping he would last year and his rating will likely stay where it is so his small cap hit didn't really help me. Decided to upgrade the D and get a better defensive dman in Carl.
To Flyer: Kevin Poulin
To Devils: Remi Elie
After looking at Khudobin's potential cap hit I decided to keep him in the minors for another year and traded for a cheaper backup.
To Flyers: Zach Parise, Conditional 2nd 2015
To Coyotes: Corey Perry
Perry played well but he took waaay too many penalties last year. In Parise I get a more sim-friendly player.
To Flyers: Jason Demers, Ryan Murray, Flo 2015 3rd
To Penguins: Duncan Keith
This was a chance to grab one of the top young dman in the NHL so I had to sacrifice Keith. Demers had a very strong year last year so he should get a top 4 rating.
To Flyers: Justin Faulk
To Wild: Adam Henrique
Henrique was the odd man out. Faulk adds another RH shot which I was looking for. Fits nicely into new looking D.
That's all for now...

More trades...
To Flyers: Chris Stewart, 11th pick 2014, Cal 2nd 2016
To Blue Jackets: Rick Nash
Nash was taken off the trade block but Dave kept bugging me about him, after couple weeks of discussion we finally agreed on a fair return.
To Flyers: 9th overall 2014, 39th overall 2014
To Wild: 8th overall 2014
I liked Kevin Fiala in that range and added another pick for dropping down.
To Flyers: James Wisniewski
To Rangers: Cody Ceci, Drew Shore, 32nd overall in 2014
I was looking to add another defenceman who had a good sim year last year and Wis was a good one to add. Price was heavy but you gotta give to get.
To Flyers: Rick Nash
To Blue Jackets: Jamie Oleksiak, Lauri Korpikoski, 21st overall 2014, 40th overall
Nash was thrown back on the block and the deal was done. I'm not high on Olesksiakand Korpi is a bottom 6 froward. I think the price I gave up to get him back was less then I got when I traded him.
To Flyers: Connor Hellebuyck
To Leafs: Patrick Wey, 51st overall 2014
Connor has a bright future ahead of him and I'm very glad to add him to the organization.
To Flyers: Dion Phaneuf
To Lightning: Chris Stewart, Dmitri Orlov, 39th overall 2014
Dion may not be a #1 in the NHL but in the CPHL he will have the stats and the rating to be one. I didn't the price was too much to get a top pair player.
To Flyers: Hudson Fasching, Matt Martin, 2015 top 50 pick
To Leafs: Ben Smith
Added to my 2015 2nds collectioin, upto 7 now. Fasching is a good prospect, he really fell in the NHL but showed last year in the NCAA that he has huge potential. The NHL Sabres are high on him, paid a decent price to get him in their organization.
To Flyers: Kevin Klein, Vlad Namestnikov
To Lightning: James Wisniewski
The key was to shed about a mill in cap here but also get a decent replacement in Klein and a prospect I like in Namestnikov.
I'm sure more deals in the near future.

I never really bought Heslas claims that he was to busy to keep managing the capitals. Truth comes out now that he was really just running from Joe who was bullying him with hairy monkey balls.

The Monkey Balls appear to have switched directions and are now coming towards you Pat, and in greater numbers.

Couple more deals in last couple of weeks...
To Flyers: Travis Sanheim
To Jets: Vlad Namestnikov, Joshua Leivo
Reading and watching Sanheim's highlights recently made a fan so paid the price to get a prospect I like. Adds to ECHL defence I'm trying to build up.
To Flyers: Hunter Smith
To Wild: Phoenix 2015 2nd
Hunter was available and he's a Flames prospect so added him.
To Flyers: Claiming Mike Ribeiro
Free high rated player is always good to add.
To Flyers: Marco Scandella, Anaheim 2015 3rd
To Ducks: Hunter Smith, Mason McDonald
It was bound to happen so got a decent dman for couple of Flames 2nd round draftees.

More Flyers trades...
To Flyers: Andrew MacDonald, Tor 2nd 2016
To Leafs: Eric Fehr, Marco Scandello, Phi 4th 2016
Upgrade Scandella to MacDonald while not losing much else.
To Flyers: Niklas Kronwall
To Islanders: Andrew MacDonald, Ilya Sorokin, Adam Lowry, Ana 2014 3rd
Upgrade MacDonald to Kronwall while not losing much else.
To Flyers: Elias Lindholm, Stefan Metteau, 2016 Ana 3rd
To Ducks: Bryan Little, 1.5 mill cap
6.75 mill cap hit was Little was too much for Little. Get a top young player in Lindholm and get another good prospect in Metteau and save a bunch of money.

Little will slot in nicely in our top 6. Put up 60 some points on a garbage Jets team last season. Lindholm will be a stud but won't see good ratings for another 2 years earliest. We did absorb a big cap hit here and now only have 4 some million to fill out our last few roster spots.
