Alternate captains
Any word on who wears the A's this year? Noticed during the split squad games Hudler and Engellend wore them in Calgary. Not sure about the other squad but I'm guessing Glencross and Stajan
Hope Backlund gets his.
My preference in order
Giordano
Glencross
Backlund
Hudler
Stajan

Last year were there 2 alternates, and then the third A two players split the home and away?
This year, I believe Stajan, and Backlund should have them. With Glencross and Hudler alternating home and away. Although Glencross will probably get the A, and Backlund will rotate with Hudler if they do plan on doing it that way.

Need to go back to calling them Assistant Captains. If they're "Alternate", why not just give them all the C like in the 80s?

I hope we only have three, barring the need to name additional ones due to injury. None of this 2/3 of the roster crap like with the Oilers.

I think the term "Alternate" has more meaning when considering the role as it applies to the on ice dealings with the officials where they are an "Alternate" to the Captain, as opposed to the role in the dressing room with teammates and the coaches, etc... where they likely act in more of an assisting fashion.
