Default GAME 3 : Hamilton Tiger Cats at STAMPEDERS

After two games, Stampeders led by QB Bo Levi Mitchell won two games and no lost. Stampeders defense on the other hand only gave up one TD in two games. That TD was late in the game against Montreal Alouettes in the first game.

Coach John Hufnagel is 10-2 against the Hamilton since he became the head coach of the Stampeders.

Game Time : 8pm at McMahon Stadium

OFFENSE:
QB Bo Levi Mitchell is going for Jeff Garcia's record in the best start as a CFL QB. Garcia as we all know won his first 7 games in his CFL career. Mitchell won 5 games already and looking to tie Darian Durant's 6 wins.

Bo Levi played well last game against the Argos. He played like a CFL veteran with some poised. He threw 24 times and connected 16 times for 267 yards and threw 4 TDs. The best play of the game was when RB Jock Sanders took the direct snap and threw the ball to Mitchell then Mitchell hit an open receiver Anthony Parker to score a TD. Parker, on the other hand was a solid 4 for 101 yards receiving. Receiver Jeff Fuller also had a great game vs Argos. He caught 5 passes for 58 yards and TD pass. RB/Returner Jock Sanders I thought was okay but I guess what he did was good enough to win the Special Team Player of the Week. Sanders played well enough offensively but his special team play was a little bit of a mystery but he'll get used to everything and I will see a lot of improvement.

DEFENSE:
DE Charleston Hughes had a good game vs Argos with 3 tackles, 1 QB sack, 2 forced fumbles and 1 knockdown pass. With QB Zach Collaros of Hamilton not playing and Hamilton shoddy' OLine, expect the SackMaster to have a great game tonight.
Stampeders lost a couple of linebackers early in the game last week due to injuries. LB Deron Mayo and LB Keon Raymond will be missing the game tonight due to the injuries they suffered last week. Glenn Love who replaced Mayo and Lin-J Shell who replaced Keon Raymond played well vs Argos. They are going to be the starting LB tonight vs Hamilton.

SPECIAL TEAM:
Returner Jock Sanders won the Special Team Player of the Week (Week #3). Count on K Rene Paredes to bounced back from his first weird game last week. El Matador missed a field goal for the first time in a long time.

GO STAMPS GO!!!

GAME NOTES:

CALGARY:
RB Jon Cornish(concussion), WR Maurice Price(broken hand), LB Keon Raymond(leg), LB Deron Mayo(hamstring), LB Alvin Bowen(knee), LB Max Caron(knee), WR Jabari Arthur(hamstring), OL Shane Bergman, DL DeQuin Evans(hamstring) and DT Quinn Smith are OUT. R Nik Lewis is back in the lineup.

HAMILTON:
QB Zach Collaros(head), LB Rico Murray(lower body), RB Lindsay Lamar(head), LB Beau Landry(lower body), DB Michael Coe(undisclosed), OL Joel Figueroa(lower body), OL Marc Dile(lower body), OL Joel Reinders(undisclosed), OL Greg Wojt(lower body), OL Peter Dyakowski(knee), OL Mike Filler(foot), DT Bryan Hall(lower body), WR Cary Koch(lower body), WR Giovanni Aprile(lower body), DE Sam Scott(lower body), DE Brandon Thurmond(knee), DT Michael Atkinson(knee), DT Torrey Davis(undisclosed) are OUT.

************************************************** *********
Wow, looks like Hamilton's entire OLine are out on injury.

Stampeders DLine and LBs should pressure QB Jeremiah Massoli all night. The former Eskies backup QB played last game Collaros left the game vs the Eskimos. The other QB Dan Lefevour had some playing time last time as Henry Burris backup. Both QB can run and pass the ball so I am hoping Stamps defense does not take them lightly.

I think this is the game Jeff Fuller will have a great game. He'll match up with a smaller DB 6'1" Breaux all game. Marquay McDaniel usually have a great game against his former team Hamilton and expect that to continue. I am also hoping for Anthiny Parker to continue playing well in this game. I believe he will still start as SB position even though Nik Lewis is back in the lineup. The only bright spot for Hamilton Tigercats as far as I am concern is RB CJ Gable. He is one of the best all-around RB in the CFL. The guy can run the ball, he can get the ball in the air and also a good blocker. IT is up to the LB crew to stop him all night tonight.

GO STAMPS GO!!

Game Time : 8pm televised on TSN after the Ottawa RedBlack's home opener. Also televised at ESPN2 in the US.

Anyone know if there's cheaper tickets than the 38.00 dollar ones on the Stamps site? Just looking to walk up and grab 3.. Do they have a sportcheck zone?

This should be a walk for the Stamps. Hopefully the weather holds. As it stands right now it is a beautiful evening for football!

Stamps can't take this one lightly. In years past we have played to the talent level of some of our weaker opponents. We need to come out and step on their throat early and not look back!

I've been excited for tonight since Monday morning. I'm even looking forward to the overpriced Canadian.

I love how our defense are playing so far. They've been pressuring Massoli and it looks like he is getting confused in every play. Now it is time for BLM and the offense to get going.

That's an awesome play. I thought Sinopli will throw the ball but he ended up running it to the end zone. 7-4 Stamps in the 2nd half.

Damn, what the heck happened to Brian Bulcke? He wasn't this good when he was with the Stampeders. He must be one of the best Canadian DT in the league right now.

This is the moment where we miss Jon Cornish and Mo Price. Mo's replacement Joe West been quiet for two games now.

Our starting field position has been an issue all game, but as Oz has said we are really missing Cornish. His guaranteed 8yds per carry make our 2nd down decisions so much easier.

Very strange game. Offense is not good today so Jock Sanders. I am still waiting for both to start picking up their game. I know they are capable of playing 50 times better.
