Usually players keep their rookie camp #'s until they make the team, or are on the verge. Look at TJ Brodie with #66 for his first few games or even Getzlaf and Perry wearing #51 and 61 respectively for the ducks when they came in.

I'm sure Bennett 63 McDonald 72 Smith 71 and Hickey 74 will have those numbers for the time being.
