I've always liked Volchenkov's game.

He's an old 32 though, when you factor in the type of game he's played his whole career. Although @ 1 million, well worth it.

He'll fit in nicely as a 6/7 guy there. I always really respect the guys who play the way he has in his career

I can't believe hes only 32, he only has a couple years left in him I think. He's put in some of the toughest minutes in the league

That's a no risk signing for Nashville. He may not be the same player he was 5 years ago but he should be good for the young d-men in Nashville. Kinda like when Warrener came to Calgary, his presence helped calm down the younger guys (even though Warrener wasn't that old when he arrived in Calgary)
