Goaltending depth. Dan Ellis was a good backup in Nashville, but has kind of lost it lately. This is merely an insurance policy for the Panthers, and a pretty solid one too if they need it. Luongo will still be playing at least 60 games this year.

I like Montoya... Thought he would be worth a gamble. I like Hiller though; I think adding him to Ramo really solidifies the position for us.
