Michalek is okay, he's inconsistent but sometimes looks like a legit first liner. Either way, comparing this to Pouliot, it looks like a great signing!

Too injury prone, but any improvements for the Sens today is a good thing for us. Hopefully he plays great for them this year.

Michalek was a big time scorer just a couple years ago. It isn't a stretch to look at this contract as a bargain. It could also be an albatross if he's declined rapidly due to injuries. Wait and see I guess.
