We're looking for Mattson and Rafikov right? Anyone I missed?

Can't see Mattsson getting picked up, looked last year at the 6th rounders from Europe and most of them never got selected.
Most teams will likely select prospects who will make the 2015 draft, then select the top European skaters from the 2014 draft.

as sureLoss posted in the Back Burner forum, Zacha has no intention of going to Sarnia. His agent:
Allan Walsh @walsha
Sarnia was advised that Pavel Zacha has a professional contract in Czech Republic for 2 more years and has no interest in playing for them.
Allan Walsh @walsha
Sarnia just wasted the #1 overall pick in the CHL Import Draft on a player who's not coming and has a professional contract. #RookieGM

Wow Allan Walsh won't let it go...
Allan Walsh @walsha
Looking forward to Sarnia's statement on how pleased they are to draft Pavel Zacha. #Wasted#1Pick
Wondering if the Zacha camp is pissed off because they really wanted Zacha to go to Quebec and play in the memorial cup.

Doesn't it go something like....NHL team tells its newly drafted european prospect that if he "wants" to come over then the NHL team will line up a friendly CHL team to make it happen?

Does Walsh not realize many of the picks in the import draft never come over to the CHL?
Pretty sure all teams picking have an understanding that their pick is pretty much a dice roll at best of whether the kid comes over or not.

Mississauga picked up Nylander. Toronto's 8th overall pick.
Nylander has said in the past he would not come to play in the CHL.
Would rather stay in Sweden.

Is that we will have done then? Lined up a team to select Mattsson?

I think Mattson has said he will consider coming over. CHL benefits as they get assurance that the player they pick will actually come over.

I wonder if Charlottetown in the Q would take Mattsson. Bobbie Macmillan, one of the owners, scouts for the Flames, I believe.

Hitmen should take Mattsson at 112 if he is still there.

The London Knights have the 112th pick. The Hitman have the 56th and 116th, but they have already passed with the 116th I believe.

I believe in the Jays.

Wonder if anyone is going to take a flyer on Sam Duggan. Probably not since he's only 15 and comes from a non-hockey market.

Unfortunately, the Hitmen look like they will have both import spots full on the team even before the 56th pick. If they do pick at 56th, either Padakin or Fazleev will have to be traded to make room. With Donbass folding Padakin was saying he would return to the Hitmen.

What's the reason for the pass? Seems like there's a lot of examples of it in this draft.
