Default Rhinos Winter Hockey

Hey guys,

I know its only May but registration has already started for Winter. Both Rhino teams will stay together. Both have a few players on each team going back to their regular teams for the winter. If anyone is interested in playing let me know.

I know Rhinos 1 in Div 8 ( it's Div 10 this winter) South will be looking for 2-3 skaters. Rhinos 2 in Div 9 North ( Its Div 11 this winter) will be looking for a few more.

Also if you want to play higher level I have some guys that want to get together and start a higher level Rhino team.

All in all I play for both teams. We aren't great at hockey but its a good group of guys that are just playing for fun. Let me know if you're interested.

Pricing: I think the home ice prime is a good deal. You can also take a regular schedule where you play anywhere/anytime its $9300.

Jersey cost for the run of the mill jersey option is 40 bucks a jersey. This is a gray jersey with rhino logo and navy numbers and Navy jersey with rhino logo and with gray numbers. You can also by the fancy Navy jersey with full stitched logo and #'s for an extra $35.

as a Rhino Realtor, I think its only fitting that I play on a Rhinos Beer League team.

I would interested in being part of the higher level team.

Are beers allowed in the dressing room / parking lot in your league?

Some rinks it's a no , some rinks yes, some rinks it's a don't ask/don't tell policy.

What level of player are you and North or South player?

I would also be interested in a higher level team. I played at pretty competitive levels until I was 17-18.

What would be the cost and season breakdown. Jerseys included? Game times? I would be a north player with a preference for defense (although playing defense in a not hitting league can be frustrating), but I can play anywhere except goalie. Unless you want loses to be a forgone conclusion before each game.

I'll post up all that info this afternoon. I think maybe a div 3-4 would be a good spot. I'll also post the most expensive schedule. That means depending on when we get the deposit in the team can choose a rink to guarantee at least half their games at that start 10pm or earlier.

Yes div 10 south. We went with the home ice prime option ( see cost in Original Post).
No schedule yet but we would pick a rink from the schedules in our division and at least half or more of our games would be there starting at 1030 or earlier.

South Rinks include Trico, East Twin, South Fish, Corral, Jack Setters, Lake Bonavista and yes Chestermere and Okotoks. We chose home ice prime so we could limit the amount we could possibly have to go to that rink.

I may be interested in playing.

Can you provide some kind of summary about the quality and skill level of div 10?

I have played hockey most of my life and I am 48 now. I can play the role of the slow footed defenceman or the stone handed forward.

Sounds like you'd be perfect. It's a mix really. Im not very good at anything other than chirping. I think if you can stay upright and move around a bit you'll be fine.
