Hall of Fame Inductees - June 26
June 26 appears to be the date new inductees will be announced for the Hall of Fame. Didn't see a thread, so I thought I would start one. Mods may want to put up a poll.
Hasek will be in for sure. A few other interesting names up for grabs though. Lindros will be a polarizing discussion. Also suspect we will see some women players in there as well.
Not sure about former flames, although it would be interesting to see any of Housley, Vernon or Fleury get the nod.
List of eligible players includes
Peter Forsberg
Dominik Hasek
Mike Modano
Mark Recchi
Doug Weight
Adam Foote
Rob Blake
Rod Brind'Amour
Bill Guerin
Paul Kariya
Markus Naslund
Keith Tkachuk
Eric Lindros
Phil Housley
Dave Andreychuk
Alex Mogilny
Jeremy Roenick
Claude Lemieux
Mike Vernon
Theo Fleury

Theo Fleury, please. Thanks.
It's absolutely amazing what he was able to do in the NHL considering his personal life. I know it doesn't factor in to the HOF discussion per say, but for a player to be able to go out and drink and do coke til 8 in the morning and then dominate the NHL a few hours later is just mind blowing and a testament to his skill level.

Hasek for sure. Some of those names on that list shouldn't be on it.

Maybe not a popular opinion but I think Lindros should be inducted.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Forsberg yet. He was a truly dominant player. Of course he probably played less NHL games than most on that list...

Foppa is getting in for sure. Please let Theo in, that might finally force the Flames to retire his number.

Hasek and Modano are locks. Forsberg should be in on talent alone.

The last possible player I could see this happening for will be Iggy as I don't see the number 12 being handed out to any player in the future.
I doubt the Flames will retire another number in their history, including Theo's. Another inductee to the 'Forever-a-Flame' program.

Theo's number is already retired. Nobody has worn it since he left, and nobody will wear it again. Same with Iginla and 12. The "Forever a Flame" thing will simply be a banner ceremony.
As far as the HHOF goes, Modano and Hasek are locks. Forsberg should get in. Fleury and Vernon will continue to get screwed.
