I watched a lot of the trial on TV. The prosecutors did a horrendous job and conversely, Simpson's legal team were stellar. It should've been no surprise to anyone that watched the trial that he walked.

Another life time ago for sure. I was living in a crappy apartment in Ft McMurray working a crap go nowhere job.
20 years later, I have a different crap go nowhere job, but at least I have a house and a family

I think the ones who screwed up were the LAPD, who were shown to be incompetent, liars, racist and crooked. It no longer became the OJ trial but the LAPD trial.

Nope. The system isn't perfect, but if I was on that jury I would've voted not guilty as well. Guilt still has to be proven. Thankfully. It works the other way too unfortunately.

Yeah, I watched the trial quite closely too, as did my mother who was working at a law firm at the time (apparently it was the only thing everyone at her office was talking about). We both came to the same conclusion: OJ probably did it, but there was enough reasonable doubt that we would have voted not guilty had we been on the jury.
Dateline had a two hour special on this last night. I had forgotten how terrible the prosecution actually was.

I'm still convinced that OJ didn't do it, but was covering for his son
I read OJ's book, "If I did it" and it's apparent to anyone who read it that the entire book is basically a confession and a big F U to the families of the victims. It's so bloody obvious after reading it that he 100% committed the act of murder on them that it still blows my mind he thought it fit to even write the damn thing.
The only solace the families can take from all of this is that hopefully he never gets out of prison after his recent robbery charges.

I read the book too I'm still confused on who this Charlie person was. He (Charlie) was with him at the scene of the crime. Who was he?
