A NASA physicist has unveiled a new and astonishing vision of a futuristic 'warp drive' spacecraft.
And while it's clearly just a concept at this stage, it's hard not to be inspired.
Can you imagine where we'd be if NASA's budget was actually a fair share? Such a shame. But that concept looks so awesome, makes me even more excited for Nolan's Interstellar movie haha.

Well, they got the name right. The day we achieve warp drive, the ship had f'n better be named Enterprise.

I read the script the other night, and if it is anything close, it is going to be a generational sic-fi film like Close Encounters or T2. I cannot wait.
So they said...we can't actually do this, so I'll saw a picture of what it would look like if we could. NASA is being paid to do Star Trek FanFic now?
Those artist renditions are there to help people visualize the end goal of his research. Very handy when he/NASA tries to find funding for the work.
Much more impressive than a grey ellipsoid sitting in a grey ring to represent a ship or his laboratory setup which looks like he is firing a laser beam through an electromagnet.
