Haha I actually need less friends. Or less friends who like poker.

Kijiji is probably your best bet in that price range. Sometimes, Walmart has them.

I built my 10 man poker table. Only costs about $200 for all the materials. Lemme know if you have any questions I can help with. Sourcing the material was tricky at first but was able to get everything.

Here are some plans that are similar. I don't really like the cupholders.

What a POS that Canadian tire poker table is. Now I wasn't expecting the greatest quality table in the $200 range but at least one that doesn't break while opening it. Will have to return it tomorrow.

Still looking.

Try Southern Music, but you will have to pay for quality.

Having built 2 tables, I don't think it's possible to do it for less than 200. Even if you used cheapo Ikea legs, that eats half the budget right there. The least I've done (and all woodwork was free from finishing carpentry friends) is $1500 (then again, I used sweet materals like Neolon 3mm for underpadding).

You can whip up a poker topper for $80 in 3 hours. This particular recipe survived hundreds of games (and beer spills) during undergrad. Grab a sheet of 1/8 particle board, use a jig saw to cut to desired topper shape. Acquire sound-deadener underlay that people use for their floating laminate floors (dirt cheap) and spray-glue it to the particle board (a bit of padding prevents that harsh bounce/sound when chips are thrown). Next, staple (not glue or you will get wrinkles) some speed cloth or felt on top for the playing surface. Then, go to Toys R Us and nab a few waternoodle pool toys. Cut these in half longitudinally. Wrap these in vinyl (from the fabric store) and cement it down to the perimeter as the bumper. Done.

If you want to spend $200 on a poker table you must not have great confidence in your own skills as a poker player......

Kidding of course, but you could spend thousands on one or hundreds on one, and that Canadian Tire piece of crap is not worth even $100.

Double your budget and get this guy to build you one in the colours you want: https://sites.google.com/site/marksa...kertables/home

He built mine about a year ago (I got rid of the cupholders, had green speed cloth, black racetrack, solid build with legs which can be unscrewed, for about $450, then I paid him an extra $75 to build a matching top). I was ready to spend $2-3K on something from a retail store but what he built works better and while not of the same wood quality, is exactly what works for me.

Edit: Now he is charging 100 for the wood top. I think I was the first to request one, he sounded surprised when I asked for it and he did it finished the same as the racetrack for $75, and I really thought he charged too little. For $100 its a great deal

It looks like his prices have gone up, but for what you get, I think his prices are very competitive.

I had a really solid folding table kicking around, pulled the base and skirting off of it. Bought a sheet of 1 & 1/4 plywood from a lumber yard that had a damaged corner for next to nothing, was cutting the corner off anyway. Bought some cupholders off of ebay for cheap, think they were a buck a piece. Used some laminate flooring rubber underlay for under the felt to give it that perfect feel. Used some large foam pipe insulation to wrap around as a padded rail, worked great. The only expensive thing was the felt from Southern Music. Whole thing was probably less than $200 but required some elbow grease to build. Still looks good after 8+ years.

Edit: ^^ if you don't want to do the work those tables look well worth the money. The rails and woodwork are nice. I would personally recommend against getting wood however, just felt is best.

I've actually got a poker table I'm trying to get rid of.
I built it a few years ago and just moved to a new place where I don't really have room to set it up.

It's an octogon, but it's pretty big, so it' seats 8-10, wood outer ring, and a green velvet octagona top.
I dont' have any pics, but PM me if you're interested and I can send you some.
