Mid-low blocker, gives you a small window when they go down into butterfly or kick save where it can sneak in just over the pad.

Low blocker side, about 1ft off the ice, off the post and in.
Or top blocker.

If he is still so far back in his net that I'm not deking, then I usually go 5 hole.
But what do I know, I'm a stay-at-home defenseman. My first reaction would be to tee up a slapshot from the blueline and aim at his head.

Came for the top cheese reference, now leaving disappointed. Even more so that I made the reference.
Also, triple deke back hand top cheese.

Shoot wide and crash into the goalie because I can't stop.

Eyes up, hands out front for quick release, "shoot in stride" and trust your instincts OR hard lateral deke.

But actually, five hole is usually a good bet if your release is quick enough. I haven't played hockey for years but that was always my go to.

strangest thing - doesn't matter what angle I come in on, or how big the goalie is, I always hit the center of the crest.

is the 5 hole the better overall shot because it's harder and slower for the goalie to drop and put your knees together ?
I've always believed blocker side was a better shot because they have to maneuver with the weight of a stick, but that's just the beer league hockey in me

I always liked 5 hole, especially if you can cut in on an angle and get the goalie to open his pads up more.

Come in on left side, get goalie moving to my right by going backhand, slow up a bit, bring puck to forehand, top left corner

In this scenario I would always go backhand deke but if I had to shoot it would be LH top corner wrist shot since I'm left a left handed shot regardless of that being his blocker or trapper side.
