Wow, interest in this is huge. Bigger than the hockey pool. That's awesome.
If we go over 32 players we start to get into deposits and "no-cancelling due to weather" real official tournament territory. I'd suggest that we cap it at 24, 28 or 32 with the anticipation that not everyone who is interested will be able to make it on whatever date we select.

If it ends up on a Saturday I'd love to drive down from Edmonton to play. Terrible golfer, but I'm really good at drinking beer!

Well as awesome as it would be, you know how it goes. Once a date is set a chunk of people can't make it, and at the same time once its time to pay there is also a chunk that are going to bail. Its just the way event planning goes.

This CP Golf Tournament is a great idea. Won't be able to play as I'm in Sherwood Park and travel may be difficult to manage on the day. I have swag to donate though. Could a guy sponsor a foursome for +/- $100 (money going to the designated charity) so that say Rouge and Slava could golf with First Lady and Transplant? Just wondering.

I would golf with them! I'll increase my medical coverage before the round in case one of them tries to knock some sense into me!

This tournament needs some ladies. Too bad I'm a terrible golfer!

I'd like to play as well, if the timing works.
Can we get some celebrities? Hell, local media checks this site all the time, so maybe they can show up with some swag.

LOL, the irony of starting this thread is that I will likely be out, if it is a Saturday. Trying to get a Saturday off in my business is near impossible.

I'm in. Sounds like a lot of fun.\
Has anyone suggested contacting the Flames/Hitmen/Roughnecks/Stamps for possible raffle prizes? Might not get anything, but would be worth a shot.

Roger doesn't find that whole thing as funny as the rest of us do. And I don't blame him. He almost lost his career, and was publicly humiliated on an international scale. I made the mistake of trying to make a c-sucker joke around him once, and it was just a tumble weed and crickets moment.

You should have double-downed and muttered it again under your breath as you walked away realizing your joke failed.
Depending on day, and whether I get my swing back after losing it in AZ this winter, I'm in.

I agree the whole thing was bit bush league by whoever purposely threw that cut on air, but I would hope by now "enough time" has passed to not get too butt hurt by these types of jokes.
Although I can imagine that he hears that 20 times every single round of golf he plays, which could get a little old I guess.
I'm a bigger fan of RM since that incident.
