FBI that's quite a drop off in Hudler and Monahan's production. Is there any reason to believe they will lose their chemistry after being such a great duo so far this year?

Tried out some historical based calculations (past performance in terms of shot % (or average shooter %) and assists/goal ratios (again, made assumptions for some players) and got some interesting numbers. Not really an accurate formula, but I think it highlights who will likely will be the top performers based on current motion.
Notable Outliers: Wideman, Hudler, Russell, Butler, McGrattan. This rendition of the Flames gives the defence a lot of opportunities to shoot and it really inflates the points for them under my method.
Lee Stempniak: 27 Goals, 33 Assists
Dennis Wideman: 15 Goals, 44 Assists
Curtis Glencross: 25 Goals, 25 Assists
Sean Monahan: 20 Goals, 30 Assists
Jiri Hudler: 18 Goals, 27 Assists
David Jones: 22 Goals, 18 Assists
Mike Cammalleri (65 Games): 18 Goals, 21 Assists
TJ Brodie: 6 Goals, 33 Assists
Mark Giordano (60 Games): 9 Goals, 25 Assists
Kris Russell: 8 Goals, 25 Assists
TJ Galiardi: 13 Goals, 17 Assist
Joe Colborne (76 Games): 6 Goals, 24 Assists
Chris Butler: 4 Goals, 25 Assists
Sven Baertschi (76 Games): 11 Goals, 17 Assists
Mikael Backlund (76 Games): 9 Goals, 14 Assists
Matt Stajan (70 Games): 6 Goals, 11 Assists
Brian McGrattan (70 Games): 4 Goals, 9 Assists
Lance Bouma (76 Games): 3 Goals, 4 Assists
Shane O'Brien: 1 Goal, 5 Assists
Derek Smith (23 Games): 0 Goals, 3 Assists
Tim Jackman (35 Games): 1 Goal, 1 Assist

It's very relevant, I stand by my initial predictions.
Though admittedly, and happily, I was quite wrong about Monahan.
McGrattan has a way to go for 12 fights. And I'm off the mark on Cundari and Russel too, it would seem. As for the rest, time will tell.

I just think Monahan's awesome start is not very sustainable (I hope it is)
And even with 16 goals and ~40 points, it would still be a pretty solid first season.. So just keeping my expectations in check I think.
For Hudler, ~55-60 points would be pretty solid for him I think.. But again I'm obviously hoping for 65+.. Do you think he will be able to sustain that?

OK well we're half way through the season now, Here's what players are on pace for:
Hudler 82 23 45 68
Cammy 74 28 17 45
Gio 64 13 35 48
Money 75 26 13 39
Stajan 74 13 22 35
Russell 76 8 25 33
Backlund8110 22 32
Stemp 75 13 17 30
Wideman66 5 28 33
Jones 76 13 13 26
Glencross61 17 17 34
Brodie 82 6 18 24
Colborne80 8 14 22
Butler 82 4 12 16
Byron 57 7 20 27
Galiardi 68 2 15 17
Bouma 78 4 10 14
Surprises? Mono still on pace for 25+ goal rookie season (sweet), Baertschi on the farm so he is much less than projected..
Obviously Byron is a surprise too..
Stempniak a negative surprise, Did Ference end him?
Galiardi on pace for *2* goals

When I see that production from $3-4 million/year players it makes me sick.
I take back every nice thing I ever said about Feaster, we have a ton of dogs. But none of them are kids so that's a positive.

Is it just me or is Cammy playing himself out of a big contract for next year?

Well he's still on pace for almost a 30 goal season despite missing 8 games.

A good playoffs on a better team will help him.

Yeah, he is an awesome supporting player, but only OK carrying a team.
We were spoiled by two of the greatest Flames ever these past ten years (Kipper and Iggy).
On a good team Cammy will light it up. Especially come playoffs.
Flames need to move him. His talents are pretty much wasted here.
If there are players that are OK but have bad contracts that Flames could use to hit the floor while getting good picks back, I hope they do that soon.

Bump: Let's see how we did here, my guesses weren't very good.
I was close on Colborne at least
djsflames was close on Backlund..
Briefly checked the August thread too and pretty much none of us guessed Gio was going to be that good this year.
