I don't think he should get any games at all. The hit didn't look malicious and Byron isn't a dirty player, but hey that's just my opinion. What are your thoughts?
If Sedin didn't go down/get injured, I don't know that I would have expected a penalty to even be called.
That being said, I think that based on the injury there had to be some sort of supplemental discipline, based on previous nhl decisions.
Byron shouldn't, but often it seems suspensions are handed out when injuries happen. It was a decent hit - Sedin saw Byron coming, and I have no idea what he was thinking there by not protecting himself. Could just be a case of "this kid can't hit" thinking, but Byron can hit pretty well for his size.
I can't see it being more than a couple of games though. First time offender, borderline hit at worst, but a fairly scary injury resulted. My guess will be 2 games. It shouldn't even be a warning really, just an unfortunate incident.
He doesn't hit him square in the numbers from behind - more back shoulder and then Sedin falls awkwardly hitting his head on the glass - since he got the 5 and misconduct and no prior history I say no suspension.

He shouldn't but being that he hit someone who is considered a star I expect a couple games. Problem wasn't with the hit but if you look at the replays it looks as though Sedin hits his head on the ice when he goes down.
