It may be "just" the AHL, but Baertschi is playing the best hockey I've ever seen him play.

That said, I haven't watched a single other Heat game this season.

I was in the truck yesterday and caught part of a Sven interview on 960 (I assume it was from earlier in the week). First time I can honestly say I've been impressed with the way Sven answered questions about the team and his progress and future.

He was never overtly negative in other interviews, but lots of other signs that he was feeling like a victim before, way too much focus on his surroundings versus himself. Didn't get that impression from this interview, so at the very least he's figured out what type of things he should say and focus on, which is a step in the right direction.

I caught the same interview and I fully agree. Sven sounded like he had aged 5 years since I had last heard an interview from him. Seemed to have a really strong focus, knew what his priorities were, and really talked about the team game in a genuine way.

Every time Pat brought up offence, Bart said something along the lines of "I don't really think about that, I focus on my defence and putting in the effort, when you do that you get the puck more, and you create opportunities for yourself."

Not an exact quote, but he was very adamant about his effort all over the advice being the catalyst for his increase in offensive production. Really great to hear.

Klimchuk is, not Poirier. I don't think Poirier has been re-assigned yet.

Pat Steinberg ‏@Fan960Steinberg
Gatineau eliminated by Halifax in the Q. #Flames first round pick Emile Poirier's junior season done, likely Abby bound.
