Default 20th Anniversary of Rwanda Genocide

April 7 1994, was the start of a period of madness that lasted till July 15, 1994.

The deaths are hard to pin down, but the generally start at 500,000 and can peak at 1,000,000.

Like most things in Africa it was confusing, violent and bitter.

It also had an effect on those that tried to stop it.

These types of things should be remembered.

500,000-1,000,000 in just a few months is almost impossible for me to comprehend. So brutal and sad.

It never ceases to amaze me how cruel we humans can be to each other. I'd call us a bunch of animals, but that would be a disservice to animals.
