Default Will Iginla score 30 this season? Update for the cup!

After Iginla's four-point night tonight, I wonder if he'll keep his streak alive, lock-out-shortened season notwithstanding.
Hope he makes it.

I think so, he is almost on paceish, and probably his normal delayed November is just later in the year now that he is older. He is on his game now.

And I hope they bring him back next year in a reduced role after he wins his cup. It's not as unlikely as say when fleury was considered a few years back??

He needs 15 more goals in 32 games and just ended a 8 game goalless drought...

He could do it. It's not likely, but could

Would love to see it, its sad that his time left in the NHL can probably be counted by the fingers on one hand. Go get a cup Iggy.

Amen to that. Who wouldn't love to see that?
As an aside, I understand all the reasons why he isn't going to Sochi, but olympic hockey will feel strange to watch without him in the line-up.

The streak sadly ended with the partial season but I really like the way he has played this year, and have watched a lot of the B's games. Hopefully he gets hot down the stretch and gets 30. But even more so, I'd like to see a Cup. He was winning board battles and being a beast here for years with so little support. You have a team now. Go, man, go

I don't think so, but he's having a good season regardless. He meshes very well with Lucic and Krejci; they are great compliments for one another.

It's really nice to see him on the penalty kill once in a while.

He's scored 11 in his last 30 games and has 32 games left. Plus the last stretch is usually when he turns it on. So I'm going to say that he will.

If Iginla wins a Cup and still has a season left in the tank, I would be surprised if he doesn't spend that year back with the Flames to retire here.

That being said, given Iginla's incredible shape and his relatively injury free career, I could see him playing well into his early 40's to chase that Cup.. and still contribute on some level.

Hitting 30 this year is a stretch though, especially since Boston plays a much different game than 'get the puck to Iggy' like we have seen his whole career here in Calgary.

Is he still playing in the league on a regular basis?

I sure hope so! Really want him to win a cup this year more than anything else though.

It'll be tough, but I would love to see him do it. He is certainly capable of going on a big tear.
