LF - Theo Fleury's Playing with Fire book
Before you say this is the wrong forum, let me explain.
Yes, I am trying to find a copy of Theo Fleury's Playing with Fire but I was hoping that someone here might have a tie to Theo that can help me out.
Theo was recently in Hinton Ab for a presentation. After the presentation, Theo was surrounded by a large number of people seeking pictures and autographs. At this presentation was an Elder by the name of Dorothy. Dorothy is a wonderful 80+ years young but sadly wasnt not able to stay long enough to purchase a copy of Theo's book and get his autograph. The long line up was tiring for her and she had to leave.
My wife is in the education field here in the area and is in charge of FNMI (First Nations, Metis and Inuit) Learning Services for Grande Yellowhead Public School Division. Dorothy has been a tremendous help to my wife and the school division and she holds a special place in my wife's heart. Dorothy and my wife were chatting when Dorothy told her of her experience in Hinton and that she just wanted to meet Theo and tell him that "it was going to be all ok".
As many of you know, Theo is of Metis Heritage and there is a special bond between Theo and the FNMI community. My wife was at another function that night and was not able to attend.
So, here's what I am hoping that the CP community could help me with. My wife would like to find a signed copy of Theo's book and present it to Dorothy. We would gladly pay for it but I am hoping that someone here could take this one step further and get a personalized copy for Dorothy. My wife speaks very highly of her and I am hoping that I could find a way to help through the CP community. We would gladly cover off the costs to achieve this.
If you can assist, please feel free to PM me. Thank you very much in advance.
