Brian McGrattan ranks top five fighters in the leauge.

It's easy for the media, me*, and the rest of the fans to tell you who they they think the best fighters in the NHL are. We follow players from the juniors to the pros, watching every bout.
We judge: win, lose, draw. We rate entertainment. We give reviews, and theory about how that fight may have affected the game, if at all. Does he have balance, power, is he even willing to go when he should — another subjective view thrown in.
It's a different view at ice-level. Brian McGrattan, who I consider the top heavyweight in the league, gave me his top five. His simple criteria: "Fighting ability. Wins and losses, or activity, mean #### to me."
Grats brings and means a lot to this team, you only hear good things about him and he's a great cop going forward and he's damn good at it. Our little people will be safe. love grats

Thats an all-time good one.
I know a lot of people find the idea of enforcers as redundant or reprehensible or some other term....but aint it nice to have the best one on the team you cheer for?

Grats isn't just a goon, he can take a shift on the ice without being a pylon. Plus he's a great teammate and a good role model to the young guys and well he'll kick whoever ass that thinks about touching em

One of the most important players on our team in the past season, the way he unified the team and gave them security on an otherwise small and weak roster made it possible for all the guys that developed to skate without that extra bit of hesitation. He's so much more than a goon, he had as many good passes, checks and shots as he did fights this year.
Only negative is that he'll eventually start to feel his age and we'll be out one of the toughest guys the league ever saw, he's so tough nobody wants to fight him anymore.
