Having been a fan of Nino as a Winterhawk, this story is awesome. Nino gets some recognition (while having a great rebound year) and Burrows is embarrassed.

EDIT - A little high though...no?

Little high, but the principle point of contact looks like the chest, so all it's good.

Plus it's Burrows, I really don't care how he gets annihilated, just happy to see it as often as possible.

Terrible hit.
Hits like these should be taken out of the game.
There will be a suspension.

If he was laying into a member of the Flames with that head shot the uproar and condemnation would be deafening. I despise Burrows but that was brutal.

If it was a head hit Burrows would have bit him, so it must be clean

I'm a monster

I didn't really think it was that bad, and Burrows is playing.

That looks like a bad hit to me. Don't know why it should be celebrated.

Looks clean to me, his head gets hit on the follow through.

But I can tell this thread is going to see a whole lot of "moral high ground" real quick.

It's a baffling phenomenon, only equaled by Oil Stain's "team culture isn't actually a thing" theory.

It'll be interesting to see if there is a suspension here.

It looks like a good hit. The smaller gif makes it seem more borderline, but the top gif shows more of a clean hit. I dunno, it's borderline the more I look at it, I guess.

I don't see a suspension coming out of that.

I think the head motion is Burrows turning his head quickly as a natural reflex or reaction to the hit. Still though, I'd have to call that hit questionable at best.

It could be suspended, it could not be suspended. I don't think there will be an outrage either way, I don't think it's that bad.

The call on the ice was interference, which it most definitely wasn't, but whatever.

I don't care if it's the Canucks, or Burrows, or what ever. These are the exact hits we want taken out of hockey.

You can see he raises his elbow too, just a blatant attempt at a head shot

The hit would be fine if he stayed low and didn't lift his shoulder.
