suddenly the Leafs are red hot, going 3-0-1 over the last 4 games (including a 3-in-3 series vs BUF, LAK and PHX) and allowing only 5 goals in the process. We are the CPHL version of the NHL Flames, we just suck at tanking

Ben Bishop stood on his head and basically stole this one for the Predators! We are now 2 points out and have a game in hand, but I think we lose the tiebreaker so we need to take care of things on our own. Is it likely? Hard to say, but we were 6-4 in our last ten whereas the current 8th place hawks are 5-4-1, so its possible. Sandwiched between us are the Edmonton Oilers who would be leapfrogged if we win that game in hand as well.

It looks like we are far from done in the West!
