Found cat question

Sorry for the random bump, but I have a quick question on what's the protocol in locating a home for a lost cat?

A kitten was freezing outside my condo complex today, so I brought it inside to warm up a bit. I guess I am a bleeding heart when it comes to cats (especially black ones), so I stored it in my extra room so it wouldn't make a mess. That and it kept hiding underneath my bed and couches, and I didn't want it to get crushed.

I took some pictures and posted a "found" ad on kijiji, and plan on taking it to the SPCA on the weekend if no one comes for it.

I feel that putting up posters is a thing of the past, so is there anything else I should do? I also can't really start knocking on doors, since I live in a condo/apartment district.

I would put up a poster in the main lobby of your condo building, and maybe one or two on the street? I would think the odds are better than posting an ad on kijiji (assuming the cat hasn't wandered in from another community).

Unrelated note: I always chuckle when I see those "I saw you at "X" on Tuesday wearing this or doing that" ads in classifieds and on kijiji. When in the history of the world has that ever worked?!?

Do you have Twitter? I see lost pet stuff all the time on there.
Take a picture, post it on there and tag all the rescue agencies and the humane society.

Nenshi actually re-tweets lost pets all the time, so try tagging him as well.
