LF: Ice Time

Didn't know where to put this - so it goes here.

I'm simply looking for some ice/practice time for my 9 year old son.

We have bought him some new goalie equipment and I wanted to get him some time in it before the last few games of his season, (which are this weekend), and his team doesn't have any more practices scheduled.

We have been working with Jeff over at The Goalie Shop, but their ice is gone now unfortunately.

Anyone have any ideas? I can't just do family skate or anything like that, because there are no pucks and sticks.

Check the schedule but westside has a family shinny that you both could go on ... it is usually late morning or noonish.

Their site doesn't specifically say, but most public skate times do not allow them.

I do see the family shinny now, looks like its Sunday only.

It is pretty cheap to book Non-prime time (Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. - 4 p.m.) ice at city rinks, for adults it is $105.55​ and Minors $61.25​, per hour.

It even think it would be easy to get someone to share the ice with you to off set the cost.

Yeah, good idea Ragz - thats something I can look into for sure.

socktape's idea of family shinny got me looking and Southland LS has it on Friday night, so that could work out good for us.
