The Flames and Hawks hooked up for a quick deal today that will hopefully give the Flames a little more punch from the blueline

From the Hawks perspective it was important to get something in return for Gonchar as he was not going to be re-signed in the off season.

To acquire three youngish players that have all played in the NHL this year will significantly improve the depth of the Hawks for the remainder of this season and next.

Despite all the nasty things I have heard about Cheese since joining the league, he was a pleasure to negotiate with.... does that mean I got ripped off?
