Nolan suspended for sucker punch
Jordan Nolan has been suspended one game for punching an unsuspecting opponent.

I don't even know if I buy into the reasoning I'm about to use, but to be fair, it's not like there's a set punishment if you go and assault someone. It often depends heavily on the result.

It was a sucker punch, with his glove on.
Obviously was intentional and has had a history before.
Should have been 3-7 games.

It is a good thing he had his glove on. I got sucker sucker punched like that once. Ended up with some titanium in my Jaw and wired shut for 4 months. Classless and gutless move by Nolan. I agree that a game is setting bad precedent. If a Jaw injury would of happen its completely devastating to your overall health.

To me that play was ridiculously dirty. You can't even make the argument that it was an accident. I wanted at least 3 games. I am an LA fan but I just want stuff like that out of the game way before fighting.

Nobody cares about Edmonton.........they are no good.
They got lucky with Ferrance not getting any suspension for him instigating a fight with Stepniak, good reason to only give Jones only 1.

Agreed, Ference got away with the exact same thing. Maybe worse.
Nolan deserved a game.

From watching the video, it states history. If this is his first suspension, then they probably mean he has history by instigating.

Thanks, I did some googling. He was fined for a crosscheck before against the Canucks (Henrik Sedin).

If you read his wikipedia page it says he was suspended 20 games for the same thing in Junior.
