Stars trade Robidas to the Ducks for conditional 4th round pick
Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Lots of chatter out of DAL that Stephane Robidas may be headed to ANA. No official confirmation yet on that, though. #TSN

Robidas a duck? Could it be?

Hmm will be interesting to see the price. Would be a very good pickup for the Ducks.

That would definitely help them shore up an already pretty solid D-core. Good mix of veterans and youth.

Would be a great pickup for the Ducks if true. Ducks looking to go deep this year.

Unless chicago adds to their lineup, anaheim are cup favourites in my opinion. Even before Robidas.

Anaheim is deceptively underwhelming. Their bottom two lines provide no where near the depth of Chicago. Anaheim leans heavily on their top six to generate offense. That's not a good formula for success in the playoffs. Comparatively, Chicago's bottom two lines drive possession how most teams' #2 line does. I definitely take Chicago over Anaheim statistically speaking.

I like the Blues, especially after adding Miller and Ott. Pretty much the entire Western Conference looks strong though so who knows.

Anaheim

St. Louis
This is a really important trade deadline.

St. Louis my favourite to win. Pietrangelo, Bouwmeester and Miller make it too hard to score, even Iginla and Chara will have a tough time against them.

You'd have to think the Anaheim moves - trading Penner and Fasth - are to clear $ away to acquire Robidas from Dallas. #NHLTradeDeadline

Eric Stephens @icemancometh
Ducks send the fourth they got from Washington to Dallas to acquire Robidas. So, in effect, it's swapping Penner for Robidas.
Wow just a 4th for Robidas?

This is insane. He doesn't seem like much of an upgrade over Penner

Wtf is with the 4th round picks?
That makes zero sense.
I have no idea why Dallas would take that little for Robidas.

This has to put Butler's value at at most a 5th like Weaver, or else even lower. Provided the Flames are looking to trade him.
